Marking Mother's Day this year + continuing our International Women's Day series, I wanted to say a BIG thank you to my Maman. Muse for our debut Lyvie range, she is a fiercely protective, caring, stubborn, loving Mum with a tonne of creativity! She has devoted her whole life to me + my 4 siblings + I hope I can be as good of a Maman to my boys. She is an absolute inspiration to us all + has helped me grow EOB into what it is today.

Why do you think it’s important to celebrate International Women’s Day?

In our busy lives, and in a current life where restrictions and reductions mean that women especially are taking on more, it's a good thing to thank ourselves and each other.

This year’s theme is #ChooseToChallenge. Tell us about a time when you were faced with an obstacle that you challenged.

Oh so many, and probably all will resonate with women. Being overlooked so many times because of my sex or the colour of my skin.

Tell me a time you felt the most empowered.

Walking down the stairs with my firstborn in my arms, and understanding my fearless strength as a mother.

What was your dream job as a little girl?

An artist.

If you could have dinner with 3 women, dead or alive, who would they be and why?

Maya Angelou, Karen Carpenter, Queen Elizabeth II.

What’s one piece of advice you would give to 18 year old you?

Enjoy your freedom, your youth, the lack of any major responsibility as much as you can, as it really doesn't last long. Paint.

What is a change you would like to see for women in the next generation?

Less addiction to social media, and a move to be less insular.

What is your favourite thing about being a woman?

Being able to have children, and being part of your children's children.

My mother: her strength, her stoicism, her beauty, her sense of humour.
