Born 1947, went to St Leonard’s Girls School in Hythe. Worked for Skyways for 5 years before marrying & having two girls, I now have 4 grandchildren.

Why do you think it’s important to celebrate International Women’s Day?

It’s important for women to be heard every day! But also on a special day to reinforce their importance!

Tell me a time you felt the most empowered.

I felt the most empowered high mountains trekking for charity.

What was your dream job as a little girl?

My dream job as a girl to be a singer.

If you could have dinner with 3 women, dead or alive, who would they be and why?

I would have dinner with My Mother, Michelle Obama & Mother Theresa - why? Because I admire them.

What’s one piece of advice you would give to 18 year old you?

Go to university no matter how difficult the journey! In my day it was difficult!
