The Suffragettes a women’s organisation seeking for the right to vote. They were all about women being treated equally and fairly. A century on from this, women are still fighting a bias system and showcasing the amazing human beings that we are.

Here are a few things we can learn from the Suffragettes.

Women can do anything they put their mind to

The suffragettes brought about a power of zeal and persistence. Ladies we need take a leaf out of their book. They continued to organise protests through adversity, fighting for what they believed in because they knew the end goal was worth it. If you put your mind to anything you want to achieve you will surely get there.

Never give up

In life generally things get tough and hard. When a situation arises it is important not to give up. If the suffragettes can do it, you can too.

Use your voice

Your voice is one of the most important tools you have in society and sometimes women are afraid to use it because they are scared or worried about what people will say. Never mind that. Be bold! Use it: it’s yours and no one can take it away from you.

Women are incredible

Think about it, can the world function without us? We all know the answer to that. No matter what the world throws at you remember that as women, we are wonderful, incredible and smart and nothing can stop us.

Happy 100 years to the suffragettes! Thank you for paving the way for females voting and changing society forever.
