Meet our Muse: Rheanna
Hello Rheanna! Tell us a little about yourself?

I'm 19, 2nd year university student studying BA Archaeology, I play guitar, ukulele, bass guitar, keyboard and can skateboard.
Why do you think it’s important to celebrate International Women’s Day?

Women still aren't treated as equals to men and are constantly overshadowed by them so it's important to have a day that recognises them and how they are just as influential and important.
This year’s theme is #ChooseToChallenge. Tell us about a time when you were faced with an obstacle that you challenged.

I think the biggest obstacle I've had to face recently is trying to do a degree in the middle of a pandemic, which is a problem for everyone my age in uni, but doesn't make it any easier.
Tell me about a time when you felt most empowered?

I feel the best about myself when I'm learning new instruments because ones like bass and guitar are always assumed to be more "manly" whilst piano is stereotypically feminine and I would much rather play a range because they shouldn't be gendered as anyone can play them, so learning those make me feel really good, skateboarding as well because that's definitely something everyone assumes is only for boys but I love it.
What was your dream job as a little girl?

I never really had one specifically but I always liked history and mythology.
If you could have dinner with 3 women, dead or alive, who would they be and why?

Adelaide Kane - one of my favourite actresses who stands up for all different kinds of rights and is very down to earth; Zendaya - very influential woman of colour who a lot of people look up to; Elizabeth Olsen - a show of hers recently came out and her acting was amazing.
What is a change you would like to see for women in the next generation?

Equal to men and treated as such, not being forced to be maternal because not everyone wants that.
What is your favourite thing about being a woman?

Not forcing myself to fit into stereotypes.
Edge o’ Beyond is inspired by you and has a range named after you. Who is a woman that inspires you and why?

Zendaya - she embraces who she is as a person and is proud of herself and it sets a good example because so many younger girls like her, she doesn't limit herself.
What’s your favourite EOB range?
