Lingerie that makes you feel powerful and confident is truly something that should be treasured. Putting on a full set of lingerie that fits perfectly not only makes you feel fantastic but makes you look fantastic too. Self-love and self-confidence aren’t things that come easily to many of us, but we all have a small trick that makes us feel infinitely better about ourselves. For some that is putting on a killer outfit or a face of makeup. For me, that thing is lingerie.

 

I fell head over heels in love the moment I started purchasing beautifully designed lingerie for myself. The relationship between myself and my body almost instantly changed, and I finally found myself able to push the negative thoughts out of my head and instead focus on the breath-taking garments that adorned my body like a second skin.

 

Nothing else can make me feel as strong. Lingerie for me has always been like a kind of armour, which makes me feel unstoppable. It has an innate ability to help shield me from my worst days and all the little niggling body image issues that plague me far more often than I’d like to admit. Lingerie is what allowed me to start learning to accept and fall back in love with my body.

Wearing delicate embroideries and buttery soft silks has impacted every inch of me, it helps me feel feminine in a way that I never did when I was growing up. It feels as if I have stumbled on a long-held secret that has helped me to walk taller and dispel everything negative.

 

The exhilarating feeling of enveloping your body in such decadent fabrics and meticulous embroideries for no one other than yourself is something everyone deserves. Carrying that private knowledge with you; a tantalising tease of lace underneath a pressed white shirt, the delicate outline of a bra underneath a sheer top or peek a boo strapping completely transforms the way you hold yourself, which is why it’s such an integral part of my identity.
