A Taste of Summer: Recipes from the EOB Team

Apparently, we talk about food almost as much as we talk about lingerie...

Whether it's a quick lunch in the office, something someone made over the weekend or a recipe that's been passed around the team, good food has a habit of finding its way into conversation at EOB.

So, we thought we'd share a few of our favourites, each paired with the EOB piece it naturally reminded us of.

 

Berry + Coconut Smoothie Bowl

Chosen by Em, Digital Marketing Lead

A simple, nourishing breakfast that's become a staple throughout the summer. Bright berries, creamy coconut + plenty of texture make it the perfect way to start the day.

 

Our pairing: Amaya

Fresh, delicate + beautifully considered. Amaya's intricate lace + floral details make it a natural match for this feel-good recipe.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup frozen mixed berries or blueberries

  • 1 banana

  • 250ml coconut milk

  • 2 tbsp coconut yoghurt

  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup

  • Shredded coconut, granola + chia seeds, to serve

Method

1. Add the berries, banana, coconut milk, coconut yoghurt + honey or maple syrup to a blender.

2. Blend until smooth + creamy.

3. Pour into a bowl + finish with shredded coconut, granola + chia seeds.

4. Serve immediately.

Cream Cheese + Heirloom Tomatoes on Sourdough

Proof that the simplest recipes are often the best. Fresh ingredients, vibrant colours + a generous drizzle of olive oil make this an easy summer lunch you'll come back to again + again.

 

Our pairing: Pina

Fresh, vibrant + full of colour. Pina captures the same effortless feeling as this summer favourite.

Ingredients

  • 2 slices sourdough

  • 100g cream cheese

  • 200g heirloom tomatoes

  • 2 tbsp pesto

  • 50g feta cheese

  • A handful of rocket

  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

  • Sea salt + freshly ground black pepper

Method

1. Toast the sourdough until golden.

2. Spread with cream cheese, then spoon over the pesto.

3. Top with sliced heirloom tomatoes, crumbled feta + a handful of rocket.

4. Finish with a drizzle of olive oil + season with sea salt and freshly ground black pepper.

Dad Salad

A nostalgic family favourite that's been passed around the table for years. Simple, crunchy + surprisingly addictive, it's the kind of recipe that always disappears first.

 

Our pairing: Yasmin

Bold, colourful + full of personality. Yasmin feels just as joyful + memorable as this much-loved classic.

Ingredients

  • 100g cheddar cheese, diced

  • 1 apple, diced

  • 2 celery sticks, diced

  • 50g raisins

  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

  • Freshly ground black pepper

Method

1. Combine the diced cheddar, apple, celery + raisins in a large bowl.

2. Drizzle with olive oil + season generously with black pepper.

3. Toss together until evenly coated + serve.

Creamy Lemon Pasta

Fresh, comforting + perfect for long alfresco evenings. This is one of those recipes that's quick enough for a weekday but special enough to share.

 

Our pairing: Sarah

Light, fresh + beautifully balanced. Sarah's delicate details + soft tones make it the perfect match for long alfresco evenings.

Ingredients

  • 200g linguine

  • 1 lemon

  • 150ml double cream

  • 50g parmesan

  • 30g butter

  • Fresh basil

  • Freshly ground black pepper

Method

1. Cook the linguine according to the packet instructions.

2. Melt the butter in a pan, then stir through the cream, lemon zest + juice.

3. Add the cooked pasta + parmesan, tossing until silky.

4. Finish with fresh basil + plenty of freshly ground black pepper.

Chocolate Mousse with Olive Oil + Sea Salt

Rich chocolate, a drizzle of olive oil + a pinch of sea salt. Simple ingredients that come together to create something beautifully indulgent.


Our pairing: Nova

Indulgent, silky + beautifully unexpected. Nova's rich tones + luxurious details make it the perfect match for a dessert worth taking your time over.

Ingredients

  • 150g dark chocolate

  • 4 eggs

  • 1 tbsp caster sugar

  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

  • A pinch of sea salt

Method

1. Melt the chocolate gently, then leave to cool slightly.

2. Separate the eggs. Whisk the egg whites until soft peaks form.

3. Beat the yolks with the sugar before folding into the melted chocolate.

4. Gently fold through the egg whites until smooth.

5. Spoon into serving glasses, chill until set, then finish with a drizzle of olive oil + a pinch of sea salt.

Chocolate Chip Cookies

Chosen by Naomi, Founder + Designer

Crisp around the edges, soft in the middle + loaded with dark chocolate, they're perfect fresh from the oven or kept in the freezer for whenever the craving strikes.

 

Our pairing: Casey

Soft, comforting + effortlessly wearable. Casey is the lingerie equivalent of comfort food.

Ingredients

  • 140g unsalted butter at room temperature, soft but cool

  • 140g dark or light brown soft sugar

  • 110g Caster sugar

  • 1 Egg

  • 1 tbsp. vanilla extract (optional)

  • 250g plain flour

  • 1 tsp. baking powder

  • 3/4 tsp. baking soda

  • ¼ tsp Maldon Sea salt

  • 180g dark chocolate (preferably 70%)

Method

1. Cream together the butter and both sugars until smooth and light.

2. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.

3. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, bicarbonate of soda + sea salt, then gradually fold into the butter mixture.

4. Stir through the chopped chocolate until evenly distributed.

5. Roll into generous balls, cover + chill for at least 12 hours (or freeze for later).

6. Bake at 160°C for 13 to 15 minutes, until the edges are golden and the centres are still slightly soft.

7. Leave to cool on the baking tray for a few minutes before serving.
