With the passing of this week's major-glamour event, the Oscars, the EOB team compiled a few of our favourite looks from the evening where the prestigious film award show took place. With this year's event being the 90th anniversary for the Oscars, it seems that the honoured guests did not come to play when it came to their stylistic choices.
Allison Williams (Get Out, Girls) went with a classic and regal look in a gorgeous embroidered Armani Privé gown and statement earrings.
Leslie Bibb (Iron Man) in a J. Mendel dress which gave us lingerie-vibes with the dark tulle and sheer aspects.
Samar Weaving (The Babysitter, Mayhem) in a bold coral & pink Schiaparelli Couture gown with a stunning plunge v-neckline.
We applaud Adam Rippon in for his bondage inspired Moschino look, and call more men to be brave with their red-carpet choices and not always opt for a safe (but often boring) black suit. We want more colour and more interesting styling, and Adam definitely delivered on that!
Salma Hayek was a sight to see in a lavender Custom Gucci layered dress with exquisite jewel neckline details which complimented the femininity of the dress perfectly. Can this woman do any wrong?
Taraji. P Henson in a sexy, sleek, and dark custom Vera Wang gown. We feel like if EOB was an Oscars dress, it would be something along these lines. You can sense her confidence through the screen, and that is something we love about the Oscars, and all dressing-up events. The ritual of getting “dolled up” puts you in a different mind frame and gives you that confidence boost. We feel that this is what the real power of lingerie is as well. It’s not just something glamorous, it’s about uplifting yourself and being confident. You put your best (Jimmy Choo-clad) foot forward and take on the world.
